Research with the web

When you need current information, turn on web research and ThreatLens will let the model look things up — governed, like everything else.

Turn it on​

  1. In the composer, toggle Web on.
  2. Ask your question as usual.

The answer will draw on web results, with the model citing what it used.

It's still governed​

Web research follows your organization's policy. Your prompt is still classified and protected before anything leaves, and your sensitive data isn't sent out to search. The decision banner shows a web indicator so you know the web was used.

When to use it​

  • Current events, recent releases, or anything time-sensitive.
  • Looking up facts, definitions, or public references.

For questions about your own documents, attach your files instead — that grounds the answer in your real content.

Web plus your docs

You can combine them: attach a document and enable web research to compare your internal content against up-to-date public information — all under the same governance.
